sporting

this evening we told bear we were grabbing in & out and then we were gonna play soccer...

but when we refer to soccer and his athletic shoes-- he likes to call it "sporting"

i think because when i showed him his new athletic shoes (only $5 each at target so i got him two pairs since papa wanted him to have some) he gave them a funny look (as did i).. but then i told him they were for running and playing sports in... so now he likes to use the word "sporting."

oh ya and the best part was that he was so excited to grab burgers and go sporting that when we walked out the door he stopped and said we gotta pray and so he stopped, put his hands together and said, "father in heaven thank you for this day. please bless the soccer field and our eating. in jesus name amen." cute right?! then he ran over to the car to hop in!

bear kicked around the ball a few times, but spent a good chunk of time wearing himself out by running back and forth across the field and then making dust clouds in the baseball field

(he likes making dust clouds too when we go on our weeknight walks through the hs field)

we also played a little on the playground equipment going through the tunnels and up and down the slides and throwing woodchips onto the bottom of the slide!

i love our "sporting" times =)
