christmas with the fam bam!

christmas festivities usually begin on the 24th-
first with a family dinner party with Tony's side
and then ending the night into the christmas with my side....
here's a pic of some of my aunts and my mama

my dad wanted a "nativity" and my cousin ryan, his wife and their child were the lucky ones that got to portray this that night!

new traditions.. bear wanted to make a birthday cake for Jesus.
we made it on christmas eve and here we are christmas day-- at tonys parents house for breakfast, gifts and dinner!

aunt debbie and uncle leo got married and were surprised with a cake and gifts on christmas eve and the family party!

we also went to Thoroughbred Lanes in Rancho with the Martinez and Maese families....

bears class had a mini-christmas program.
they sang us 3 songs
and we got to decorate cookies and do crafts with our kids!

our church ahd its annual christmas cookie exchange!
i baked peppermint chocolate chip cookies w/ whole wheat
and i made this awesome peppermint tree.
sadly, i didnt take home any ribbons this year =/

the knicks have been going through a lot this year....
nicole is preggy with baby #2 and due beginning of jan
and her hubby, jarrod, has been in the hospital for a spinal tumor.
luckily we got to celebrate his 30th with him!

we had brunch, but more like lunch, with the maese and martinez fam.
bear got a kids cheeseburger meal-- it was pretty huge for a kid!

and tonight-- he took a couple of tiny bites of my homemade lasagna- which has spinach in it
annnnnnd he LOVED my homemade parmesean crusted eggplant slices!

we also celebrated my parents bdays- dad-oct and mom-sept, but she was in italy or somewhere in europe during her actual bday!

ckc night

this year bear is old enough to actually participate in CKC- calvary kids club.
they learn verses and earn patches for memorization, etc

bear got to help lead pledges

and he got his very own vest that he earned along with a couple other patches

he absolutely loves wednesday nite ckc!!!
