weeds and being stuck!

we have a pretty fairly sized backyard for an apt- although it's on the long end so it's not much for playing in, etc. anyhow, we mason's aren't so much the gardening type and since we don't play in the backyard we have allowed the weeds to take over... until now.

i'd say most of those weeds are about my height!

here's the bear helping the papa...

the bear had a bucket to put the weeds in...but bear decided to put rocks and dirt in it...
the bear is trying to help by putting the weeds in the trash bag...

after papa had pulled most of the tall weeds by hand, i got into it and helped with the hoe and rake. the bear played in one corner getting the dirt everywhere and digging everything up! the papa finished it off with the rake and hosed it all down!

maybe we'll put in some sod =) maybe.


the bear is all over the place- climbing and crawling on things.

he decided to go under this and he got stuck and cried and screamed, but eventually he got out... with a lil help =)
