look at all the fabulous chalk drawings the bear did while we were at the Moms Club new member luncheon...
thanks nicole & jar for the drums!
he likes taking naps with his lion...
flowers...so after his visit back to the dr for his 12 month shots- the bear is almost 20lbs!-finally! and i guess we'll be in search of buying a forward facing car seat within the next few pounds or so!
the bear is sooooo much fun! lately some of the words he's been saying is lion "ny-on", tiger "ny-ger", running "nunnin" and goldfish "gol-gol"- which he'll ask for if he's not satisfied with the snack i gave him! ha! i've been reading and have learned that you need to give the little ones choices as opposed to asking them yes or no questions: "would you like goldfish or cheerios?" NOT -"do you want gold fish?" and then get all frustrated because he didnt want it, etc. also our little boy is all over the place- running here and there! he's so fast! like the other day i was putting his jammies on him atop our bed and he got up like a bolt of lightening and ran ..... off of the bed before i could catch him!!! and he went keerplooop! =( he's already had little bumps and bruises, but thank goodness they seem to heal super quickly!
he's also been enjoying his Big Wheels. Of course, he CAN'T reach the pedal so when he goes over to his bike and sits on it he says "biiike-biiike" and waits for one of us to push his around the house! oy! he' s also been getting better about eating table foods. Although, i still have some jarred foods for those times where he "refuses" anything we're eating. sometimes though it seems like he lives on multigrain cheerios, whole grain goldfish and whole wheat bread! ha! ive been trying to wean him a bit and have been introducing milk. regular cows milk seems to have given him a rash so i've been working with plain and vanilla soy- so far, he'll eat it with his oatmeal, but he'll only take a few sips from his sippy cup! oy! another thing- he's been a "Babywise" baby so he's been on a "schedule" since he was born and so his nap times are pretty set, but if he's tired and i havent already put him in his crib for his nap he comes over to me and starts to say "niiight-niiiight." sooo cute!
i absolutely love this bear and the papa too. it's sooooo great when he reaches out his arms and gives us a great big bear hug!
