busy momma's

Stay at home momma's aren't meant to just "stay-at-home." =)
My sis and I have been looking into MOPS. We found one in Chino and I think we may be joining that one. MOPS is a Christian-based mommy-and-me type of thing where kids go to the nursery or their Moppets activities while the mommies fellowship and have breakfast, hear a message or do a craft together, and other events during the month. My sis and i wanna check out the MOPS at Glenkirk in Glendora too.

I've also been looking into MOM's Club- Glendora East, to be specific! This is a non-profit organization where mommies get together in their community to hang out, do activities, playdates, and community service projects together, etc. This organization is not Christian-based, which is perfect because it's been on my heart to be connected with and be a light to non-Christian momma's. I went to my first meeting today and it was quite interesting. It's definitely tough being the new person coming into an already established group of people. They seem nice and I figure I'll give it a go and pray that the Lord uses me to be a light and to share with them!

we've also been looking into story times at different venues- like the Barnes & Noble at the Shoppes and in Glendora and at the local libraries. Those have been fun!

Being around a lot of mommies is fun. It's great to be able to share our up's and down's of motherhood!- and it's better than galavanting all over the place spending money or just being cooped up at home everyday!-it's a good way to change it up a little! As much as I completely enjoy being at home with Lukey- I must say that not every day is easy or fun- it's quite the full-time job where you're paid with hugs and kisses!
