and here's bear on his new bike from mama & papa. we also got him his own little bear-sized skateboard that he absolutely loves! now he can skate with mama & papa!

the Eve and the Day were filled with family fun.

(although i didnt take many or any pics)

Christmas Eve was first spent having dinner with the Shipcott Clan

then off to the midnight tradition with my side of the family.

Christmas morning we opened presents- just the 3 of us then

we headed over for late breakfast and more presents with grandma Mia,

grandpa Dean, Jessie and Ry

and then we headed home for a nap and back on over for some Christmas dinner!

We were blessed and showered with MANY gifts and good times with family!

some holiday sweets...

im not much of a baker, but i have been following this blog and have been inspired to bake! kinda. Our church had their 1st annual womens cookie exchange so i baked for the FIRST time from SCRATCH some peanut butter cookies dipped in chocolate topped with chopped peanuts! i was sad i didnt win any prizes for that cookie =/ and to be honest-- it was so tough baking from scratch that i didnt even want to taste them! go figure!

mine are in the front. i didnt know people were going all out on display!

today i made these:

i think i may give them out as a little Christmas treat for some neighbors! last week i wanted to make a treat for the office staff at my school so i dipped some pretzel rods in white and milk chocolate and sprinkled away!

i have one or two more things to "bake" for the holidays!

after bear and i went to school papa and i had a fun little Christmas date to Disney!

(yay for sister in laws who work at Disney!)

Grandma Sally came to watch bear then Grandma Mia took over and took the bear home to play while the mama and papa played!

we had lots of fun! we were able to ride all the rides we wanted without having to chase around the bear, but we sure did miss him!

It was a shortened class kinda cuz lots of people had to leave early.

We had a book exchange and a potluck!

Thanksgiving 2009

the last few fridays at Mommy & Me school bear and mama made Thanksgiving crafts

with bears little paws:

a turkey placemat above, turkey playdough, and turkey print card:
then last tues night before Thanksgiving the Bear (along with cousin Peyton, auntie rossy and taylor) and mama caught some sort of stomach flu bug!!! =/
bear woke up at about 10 with vomit everywhere and kept puking for awhile then mama started and puked the WHOLE day after! it was awful! but thank goodness for papa who has been taking care of us!

here's the naked bear for the last couple of days.... slumbering in the family room...

we finally headed out to the ER on Wed early evening...

and bear was ok despite having the flu, but mama was dehydrated from all the vomitting so she got an IV and we both got meds:

praise God that we are recovering and hopefully are almost better!

we missed out on the family get-to-togethers, but grandpa oscar did come by on thursday with some Thanksgiving food!

bear turned 18 months today!

auntie, me, bear and peyton were at a stoplight (in aunties car) when all of a sudden out of nowhere a pick-up truck from the oppsite side of the street came flying right into us!!!

the pix below are the after pix and the cops already cleared out the other cars and blocked off the road behind us. the driver was supposedly not feeling well and had just come from the dentist after getting some work done.

our car had the most impact since we were right in front and so did the benz next to us then his truck pounded through a couple more cars!

thankfully we all walked away from this crazy accident- no major injuries!

thank you Lord for keeping us safe and for protecting us!
