2-3 months ago i attempted potty training but gave up after like a day!
then this past monday i started again.....ready.....
and so far so good
but i do have to admit
it's h a r d!
i think it's especially hard having to teach a
BOY
first teaching him to sit
and point down
and then im gonna have to teach him to stand later
oy!
lots of accidents, which you HAVE to be prepared for...
tried diffrent things...
just undies, no pull ups, diapers for zzzz
then tried using pull-ups here and there
(which helped, buy you gotta NOT use them often cuz they get used to it and will go in it!)
oh ya and books in the potty, etc.. to keep him busy, ha
and tried different potties...
safety first potty that goes on floor in restroom
elmo potty that goes on top of toilet
and the BEST one yet-- the BABY BJORN brand!!!
it's perfect especially for boys
the bowl is bigger and it has a higher guard so the pee doesnt shoot out as much!
im on day 5
using undies and pull-ups here and there, a cheater potty in the family room, and diapers for naps!
oh ya and sticker chart, but honestly bear doesnt care too much anymore if he gets a sticker or not! oh well!
so far so good
definitely much better today than on monday!
hope he gets this down soooooon!

kekoa's teacher will probably end up doing all of it for us. apparantly she's potty trained A LOT of people's boys - like i've heard several moms credit potty training to her. so i'm stoked. she sings a potty song every time they go potty and she recommends it because you can reward them with the potty song anywhere - because you don't always have stickers when you go to public restrooms or someone's house. when i learn it i'll teach it to you.
