so.... during my pregnancy many friends told me about "on becoming Babywise." All of them eagerly encouraged it so i decided to pick it up and read it for myself before Luke was born.... and i must say... i like! it gives great guidelines and promotes PDF- parent directed feeding, and flexibility and all... and it encourages getting the baby to sleep on their own and into this "routine" of feed, wake time, sleep... through prayer and persistence Luke has been able to fall into a "routine." now, some days are easier than others and some more difficult, but there is definitely a good and healthy routine that has been developed and I am happy and proud! Luke is almost two-months (tomorrow to be exact and he has to get his shots!) and well.. we had been building it up so that he could sleep through the night. for a couple of weeks now his last feeding would fall somewhere between 9 to 930pm and then he would sleep through and not wake up till sometime between 2-4am for another feeding and then i'd wake him up sometime between 6- 6:30am to "start" his day.
well-- praise God! he slept through the night last night for the first time!- all on his own! i prayed that it would happen and it did! his last feeding was close to 9pm and he slept till almost 6am!
just that day, a friend in the church nursery was talking about her "routine" and how she had been wondering when her 2month old would sleep through the night and that night- he did!
yay! i pray that Luke will continue to sleep through the nights! =)

praise God! it's been great being able to talk with you about all this stuff. kekoa is currently on the 9pm-3am-6am schedule. we can't wait for him to follow in luke's footsteps soon!
Sleeping through the night now? It's gonna be a good summer...
