a little bit of fam fun at newport...

this has been such a beach filled summer so far- and i LOVE it! i almost forgot to post pix but last sunday after church (i think) we headed out to newport to see what was left of the big waves and for papa to possibly ride some.

they were still pretty big. there were a few guys out on them, but not papa!

but nonetheless we had tons of fun hanging out and enjoying the afternoon together!

wed was gracie's first bday and we were able to celebrate with her at the libray, lunch and the fountains!

skateboarding bear(s)

a few nights ago instead of our usual after-dinner family walks, we headed to the park with a ball and skateboard...

the bear loves throwing the ball, kicking it, and chasing it...

he gets so excited when he's running and he kicks it...
then we took a ride on the skate. dont mind mama's hairdo, but look at the bears happy face!

then mama decided to go solo on a skate through the parking lot leaving the bear behind and he was so so so sad:

we had left the board in the house by the door and caught the bear playing with it all on his own! he got up and everything all by himself!

he seems to love the skate. he see's it around and always wants to play on it. now mama is on the lookout for one of those fat toddler skateboards for the bear!

the bear and his zzzzzzzzz's

it's official. the bear has given up his morning naps all on his own. it's been a week. he'll still "rest" in his crib while i shower and get ready, but the nap, the zzzzzzz's are gone. and so he is now taking earlier and 2.5+ hr long naps in the afternoon. he's still sleeping by 8:15pm and now he's waking up much later like passed 6:30am. growing bear...

crazy hair bear

bear has crazy hair! mama put a bunch of gel in his hair and it went crazy! oh ya and papa got a haircut tooo- no gel! =)

we FINALLY got to meet Kekoa! the How's were visiting/vacationing and stopped by their old church-CCPV...

time with auntie...

auntie jessie watched bear this morning for a couple hours while mama and papa went to one of those most beautiful memorial services ever for one of our dear friends...

bear play play played with auntie and cricket and he rode this zebra most of the time she said...

and he played on the fireman "bike"- cuz everything with wheels he calls a "bike"..
he can get on and off these toys now but he still hasnt quite grasped how to push forward. he can go backwards by himself though! lots of learning and playing!

bolsa chica beach/surf day

on saturday we had a beach/surf day with some family and friends! we hope to have more beach/surf days soon with even more family and friends especially with those who surf and those who want to learn how to...

grandma mia playing in the water with the bear... beautiful cousin taylor... some of the gang playing with the paddles... the bear even got into it alongside josiah and andrea... auntie jessie and papa... peyton and taylor!!! beautiful pie enjoying the sand and sun... grandpa dean buried the bear... grandpa dean enjoyed playing with the kids and building sand castles... bear was bundled in towels after being taken into the c-c-cold ocean water several times by grandpa dean... brad brought the sumo-floating kid wetsuit... auntie and the bear... weeeeeeee!!! mike with tay and the bear... some of the gals... some surfing... brad and uncle jino heading out... sooo much fun!

next possible destination: san onofre or somewhere down south! hope to see you there!
