Tis the season!

it's been a great, fun, and busy holiday season! so many firsts for Luke!

Dec 28th: Luke officially sits up his crib and everywhere!

Dec 30th: Luke can crawl- no more face plants, or military crawling! he's been doing the crawl, crawl, crawl, sit up, crawl, crawl thing.

Dec 30th: Luke prefers to drink water from his sippy cup without that spout thingy! ha!

Dec 30th (again): Luke pulls himself to a standing position next to the couch!

sooo yesterday we were suppose to get the little baby cousins together for one cute picture, but one little girl in particular didn't wanna get in the pix when it was time so luke took one all by himself. He loved santa- he kept staring at him and i had to do a double take too- his beard was real! could he be the real thing?! just kidding! ha ha! maybe next year the little cousins can take one!

777 months!

today i turned 7 months! happy birthday to me!

i think i weigh between 16-17lbs

i'm eating stage 2 baby foods
eating "puffs"
eating baby arrow-root cookies
i babble on and on- it sounds like maamamamamamama usually
i can sit up real tall and reach for my toys
i am almost crawling, i guess it's more like army man crawl-kinda... my butt goes in the air and my face moves me and i turn over and over, but at least i can get to where i want!
i like to stand and jump especially in my exersaucer
there's probably a lot more but i cant think of them!
but one thing i do know-- i enjoy being able to spend time with my mama & papa!

We found "the" tree at the Starberry Christmas Tree farm again!it was Luke's first trip! bringing a stroller to a tree farm-not so good an idea!

=( my poor little lukey has his 2nd cold. sniff sniff
last night was rough. he was so stuffed up and congested. we put towels under his blanket to elevate his head... it helped, but not enough. we could hear him cry and whimper and we saw him toss and turn in his crib-he just wanted his sleep. we prayed lots. and i held him a couple times. then at 4 am i brought him into our bed so that he could lay next to mama-it helped.
oh poor lukey...

end of November fun...

The end of the month has been sooo busy. i need to be more diligent at taking more pictures! i need to borrow some pictures from someone (hmm.. sam, you have any from the wedding?!)

our friends scott and michelle had their rehearsal dinner on the 26th, the eve Thanksgiving! on "black friday" they got married and both tony and i were part of the wedding party. i'll post pics as soon as i can "borrow" some!

Luke's first Thanksgiving was first spent with my side of the family for a late lunch Filipino style with a huge roasted pig and everything! Then we headed over to Tony's family for dinner.

Thanks giving was great! so much to be thankful for, for sure. Praise God!

Luke took a nap on our bed before all the Thanksgiving Day festivities and he buried his face under the pillow leaving enough room for his nose to breathe... so cute!

new job- stay @ home mama!

sooo after much praying, tony and i have decided that the best decision is for me to stay home with luke! i'm excited, but i definitely loved my job, too, but definitely excited to spend time with luke and watch him grow-grow-grow! we have been very blessed to have had my mom and mom-in-law watch luke while i was working-thanks moms! nicole and the staff had a little surprise breakfast potluck for me last wednesday the 26th- my official last day of my month long notice to the principal... and praise God- he found someone to take on my position full-time! and thankfully i'm leaving on really good terms... so maybe one day i'll be back at CHCS... or sooner than that- with some subbing! =)

updates on lukey luke luke!

Lukey is growing up fast! here he is with cheerio lips! he started trying/tasting these little treats on sunday in the nursery and today at home. i think he's facinated by the shape and texture but not so much the taste!

last week papa stayed home a couple of days to watch lukey while grandma and grandpa went to canada for a wedding. here's his million dollar smile and feet grab! sooo cute!
today grandma watched luke at cousin tay's house and his auntie gave him tay's doll to play with. this picture was taken on saturday. the two were just chillin on the bench in front of the hospital awaiting peyton's arrival! look at how big lukey is next to his almost 3 year old cousin tay!

sometimes luke likes to hang out and read a good book on the bed!

6 months!

today is my birthday and i turned half a year old! yay!

cousin taylor let me borrow her old high chair and i used it for the first time for my dinner! i made a huge mess- touching the food in my mouth and banging it all over the table! but i had lots of fun-mmmmmm rice cereal, and some green beans! mama even gave me a little applesauce dessert too!

i also hung out in my diaper all morning while i played my little piano...

21 & 30

more bday fun! Last night my sis-in-law turned 21! and we both celebrated together at Cheesecake Factory!
little Katelyn snuck in the pix... we had to take twpictures-- each with our age bday candle!

beach birthday fun

Rossy & I turned the big 3-0 on saturday! before the evening birthday party fun papa, lukey and i went to have birthday lunch at Taco Surf and enjoyed the beach!

sooo.. it's been awhile since i've had a chance to update....

Lukey can sit up on his own- into that lil monkey propped up sitting position

and he loves to play his little toy piano that cousin taylor let him borrow.

maybe he'll play piano like his mama!

luke got his 6 month shots early since he had an early visit to the doctor for his eczema

he is now 15lbs 10oz! oh and he wears 6-9 month clothes- he's big!

oh ya he had an early visit cause he started tog et more rashes-- found out it was more due to the allergic reaction to the orange foods!- so for now- it's just rice cereal and green beans and applesauce!

luke has also been on s few morning jogs with his mama
he also likes hangin out on his belly with his papa

my lukey is growing up so fast! praise God!
